Hatching Eggs
Add some very rare, very beautiful birds to your flock from Middlewestern Farm! Freshly laid and carefully packaged in custom shippers, our hatching eggs are of extremely high quality. We are an NPIP certified, pasture-raised flock. Your eggs will be coming from healthy, happy birds raised by hand in the Middlewest.
Although we strive to ship quickly, the hens set the pace. We do not send eggs unless they have been laid within the last 24-48hrs. We also may delay shipping if there are extremely cold or hot temperatures predicted. This ensures you get the freshest eggs possible. This also means sometimes our handling time is a day or two longer.
YOUR EGGS WILL DEFAULT TO BE SENT AS "HOLD FOR PICKUP" referencing the phone number in your check-out information. The post office will receive your eggs, call the number on the label, and have them stored safely at the post office for you to pick up. This saves a bumpy ride in the mail truck which can make all the difference in your outcome. IF YOU DO NOT WANT THEM SENT HOLD for pick up, please message me.
Our incubators routinely hatch at 85% or greater but everything after the eggs leave our farm is beyond our control. Please be aware of the risks in shipping hatching eggs. THERE IS A CHANCE NONE OR ALL MAY HATCH. SHIPPING IS VERY HARD ON HATCHING EGGS, AND WE CANNOT CONTROL ANY PART OF THE PROCESS ONCE THE EGGS LEAVE OUR POSSESSION. All eggs are carefully packed in custom foam egg shippers and come with NPIP certification and best practice instructions for hatching.
No refunds will be given and no returns will be accepted. Unfortunately, we cannot ship to AK due to the long transit times.
NOTE: We do not breed birds for fighting of any kind and we do not use hyper-aggressive stags in our breeding program. Our goals is to produce beautiful, healthy birds with friendly temperaments.
Belgian Liege Fighters
Our flocks produce birds that grow out towards the original Belgian breed standard. They are very tall, lean birds with nicely sloped backs, good heads, fierce expressions and dark eyes.
BLF make excellent flock protectors! They don't call them "Hawk Killers" for nothing. These fierce-looking birds are also very friendly to their humans when hand-raised. Even our biggest stags, when hand-raised, grow to be gentle giants. Hatch-mate males can often cohabitate without issue if they are raised together.
Our breeding flocks come from imported Belgian stock, not what's available in the US. We have color expression across the spectrum including splash, black, blue, silver and partridge and our eggs may hatch out anywhere on the color spectrum. There is no feather color restriction in the breed standard.
Indio Gigante
The Indio Gigante is a Brazillian, hard feathered chicken breed with feathers held closely to their bodies and minimal down producing a lean and narrow appearance. Rooster can measure up to 36"+ with their tall necks and super long legs but typically measure around 30". Their heads are narrow and faces have a "curious" expression with flat, wide combs. This breed has clean legs yellow or slate legs. Due to their lack of downy feathers, they typically need more consideration in colder months.
Our stock is extremely high quality, producing tall, lean birds selected for hardiness and gentle demeanor. Our breeding lines are made up of imported Brazillian stock and Clap-A-Long Farms lines. Hatch-mate males may cohabitate without issue if they are raised together but may be aggressive towards new males if introduced later.
Sebastopol Geese
Want to the FANCIEST rare geese to your flock this year? Sebastopols have it all, looks, personality, and hardiness. Freshly laid hatching eggs from our Sebastopol Geese. The Livestock Conservancy lists the Sebastopol breed as threatened, with an estimated population of less than 5,000 worldwide
Our pen consists of buff, white, and grey saddleback and offspring may be white or colored. Regardless of color, our birds are fully curly with thick, curly body feathers and long, trailing wing and tail feathers. They are intelligent, social birds with friendly personalities and can live up to 25 years. They are fantastic foragers and will graze on green grasses year-round if availabil, cutting down significantly on their feed bill.

Hatching Sebastopol Geese is NOT like hatching chickens and can be very challenging. Our incubators routinely hatch at 75% or greater following this method outlined here: https://backyardpoultry.iamcountryside.com/poultry-101/geese/goose-incubation-guide/
